What I'm Reading:
The Widow Clicquot - Tilar J. Mazzeo
The story of the woman behind the the Veuve Clicquot empire - hooked from the first page of the Prologue!
My Reading Wishlist:
Life - Keith Richards
The Long Song - Andrea Levy
Life of Pi - Yann Martel
Mister Pip - Lloyd Jones
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - Rebecca Skloot
The Blasphemer - Nigel Farndale
The Elegance of the Hedgehog - Muriel Barbery
Started Early, Took My Dog - Kate Atkinson
Goals for 2011:
Learn to SUCCESSFULLY make bread! Anything I make that requires rising simply doesn't work!
Go to Yoga twice a week. I went to my very first yoga class last month, loved it, but can I stick to it...?
Learn to make cheese. I have been talking about taking a basic cheese-making class for ages - time to actually DO IT!
Lose a few extra kilos. Two years is too long to be still blaming extra weight on the 'honeymoon period'!
Be a nicer person. Lets face it, I'm a bit of a grumpy cow.
Appreciate my awesome life and the fantastic people in it. Surely the events of the last few weeks (Christchurch and Japan) should have taught me a life lesson in being grateful for what I have. Perhaps this is not really a goal? But since these life changing events I have realised how much I take for granted.
To be noted: Losing weight comes after baking bread and making cheese on this list... mmmm fresh bread and cheese...
